Product Information

The Cercis Canadensis Merlot is showy Redbud tree. With an estimated size of 3.5 metres x 4.5 metres at 20 years, this small tree won't take over your garden.

Featuring large, heart-shaped foliage with a very glossy texture, ranging in rich shades of purple to plum. It is highly resilient, withstanding the heat of summer. In spring, it produces striking lavender-pink, pea-like flowers that add a showy display to any garden.

Plant in full sun for the best foliage colour. Cercis canadensis 'Merlot' is highly adaptable, tolerating hotter and drier conditions better than many other forms. Its rich foliage colour holds well through the peak of summer, though it may turn greener towards late summer before transitioning to stunning autumn shades.
