Product Information

REDCOR Angled Retaining Stakes are purpose‑built for higher‑strength jobs and retaining applications within the FormBoss edging system. The angled design provides increased rigidity and holding power, making them ideal for whatever creative project you have envisioned, such as straight retaining runs or steps.

Each stake is inserted by sliding the top edge under the lip of the edging, locking the stake securely in place in the same way as standard tapered stakes. For most installations, stakes are spaced at three per 2.44 m length (approx. 813 mm apart), but heavier‑duty applications, such as 400 mm straight retaining walls or steps, should use four per length (approx. 610 mm spacing) for optimal strength.

To avoid damaging the top edge, a rubber mallet must be used when driving stakes into the ground. In harder soils or when using longer stakes (such as 1200 mm), pre‑digging the hole may be required, and for maximum retaining strength, the hole can be filled with concrete. All stakes are supplied with screws.

REDCOR will appear light grey when first purchased because it’s supplied with a thin film of oil on the outer layer.
