About the role

Our Transport team are seeking an experienced Weighbridge Operator who will be responsible for the efficient and compliant operation of the weighbridge and supporting administrative and transport coordination functions.

This role plays a key part in ensuring trucks and other vehicles are processed accurately, customer interactions are handled professionally and ensures transport activities are well coordinated to meet delivery requirements of our customers.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Weighbridge Operations & Administration
  • Processing incoming and outgoing vehicles and recording accurate weights
  • Managing customer enquiries, site communications and general administration
  • Preparing and issuing driver dockets and sales documentation
  • Processing cash and EFTPOS transactions
  • Coordinating truck movements and directing drivers on site
  • Communicating with site personnel to ensure correct product allocation and loading
  • Maintaining accurate documentation in line with company and legislative requirements
  • Producing reports and completing general administrative tasks

Transport Coordination Support

  • Assisting with the scheduling of company and subcontractor vehicles
  • Liaising with drivers to support on-time delivery of products
  • Supporting documentation review including timesheets and daily records
  • Assisting with incident reporting and performance tracking
  • Accurately using internal systems for scheduling and record keeping

Key Selection Criteria

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience in a customer-focused or administrative role
  • Exposure to transport, logistics, quarrying or similar industries (desirable)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work under direction while using initiative
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Safety-conscious approach and strong work ethic
  • Willingness to learn transport compliance and coordination processes

Education, Certification and Licenses required:

  • Valid Australian drivers Licence
