Mt. Alexander community receives donations from VIP program

On Wednesday, 14th November 2021, Gary, Lis, and Danielle from ASQ Garden & Landscape stepped out of the nursery to present donation cheques to the recipients of the VIP Community Rewards Program.

A cheque for $6,560 was proudly presented to the Mount Alexander Animal Welfare (MAAW) group. MAAW’s Castlemaine shelter manager, Rosie Skinner, shared that the funds will go towards ongoing improvements and operations at the shelter, which is crucial in rehoming homeless domestic animals in Mount Alexander Shire. “We’re incredibly grateful that the community has thought of us and that ASQ customers have nominated us. We plan to use the money for some upgrades at the shelter.”

Cheques were also presented to Harcourt CFA, Harcourt Valley Primary School, Campbells Creek Primary School, and the Mount Alexander Accommodation & Respite Group. These funds will help support the continued valuable work of these organisations within the community.

The Community Rewards Program is designed to support a wide range of community groups across the region. Every time a VIP member shops at an ASQ Garden & Landscape site, they receive a 5% discount, and 1% of their purchase is donated to their chosen organisation.

The donation to the Mount Alexander Animal Welfare group was featured in the Midland Express. You can read the full article on the Midland Express website at www.midlandexpress.com.au/latest-news/2021/11/25/asq-makes-welcome-donation-to-animal-shelter.
