Plants

How close are the images and product descriptions on your website?
As close as we can get. However, since plants are natural products, the colour, images, and descriptions provided should be used as a guide only. If you require additional photos or would like to see the products in person, please reach out.

What’s the difference between an annual and a perennial?
Annual plants die in the winter so you must replant them every year. Perennials come back every year, so you only plant them once.

What’s the difference between ‘part sun’ and ‘part shade’?
Part sun refers to plants which require between 4-6 hours of sunlight each day. Part shade refers to plants which prefer filtered or dappled light.

I am looking for a plant that you do not have in store, do you do special orders?
If you let us know what you're looking for, we can try our best to source it for you. Visit the Contact page on our website to see our locations or email info@asq.net.au

Do you offer a discount for bulk orders?
Yes we do! We have Trolley Buy discounts. If you fill a trolley with 20 or more of the same plant variety, you’ll save 10% (VIP members will save 15%).

What is bare root season?
Bare root season refers to winter months where trees and roses are sold dormant and with their roots removed from the soil. Customers love bare root season because they can buy in bulk and get trees and roses for much cheaper than in the spring time!

How often do I need to water my plants?
Watering plants depends on a number of factors, including the variety, the condition of the soil it is planted in, if it is in a pot or planted in the ground, the type of weather etc. If you are unsure about how often to water your plants, please ask one of our friendly team members.
